La piazza della Fiera è il luogo delle manifestazioni collettive nelle realtà braidese. Il progetto propone una sintesi delle sollecitazioni contemporanee: la velocità, la meditazione e la contraddittorietà.
L’obbietivo è un’architettura che nasce dalla terra, interpretando il contesto urbano e l’ambiente naturale come un tutt’uno con l’opera costruita.
The Fair’s square is the place of the main public events in Bra . The project proposes a contemporary synthesis stress: speed, meditation and contradictory.
Their objective is an architecture that comes from the earth, interpreting the urban and the natural environment as a whole with the work built.
Il risultato è un progetto che interpreta l’edificio come un percorso, parte di una struttura urbana, che intorno alla funzione centrale, gli spazi espositivi, aggrega e consolida funzioni a servizio della comunità (parcheggio pubblico, mediateca, caffè, ristorante, sala espositiva, spazio all’aperto per la musica, giardino pubblico)
Il percorso non è una metafora ma un luogo fisico. Dall’ingresso, verso piazza XX Settembre, si sale, dall’esterno, sulla copertura. Qui un spazio per attività all’aperto (la passeggiata, concerti di musica classica, piccoli eventi estivi).
La copertura si trasforma in ” luogo”: una successione ordinata di giardini. Il percorso sale verso il giardino “Belvedere” attraverso pontili in legno che strutturano e consolidano il rapporto tra edificio e collina.
The result is a project that suggests the building as a path, part of the urban structure that, around the central function and the exhibition spaces, aggregates and consolidates community service functions (public car park, media center, coffee shop, restaurant, exhibition hall , open concert small arena, public garden)
The path is not a metaphor but it’s physical place. From the entrance, towards Piazza XX Settembre, from the street it go up on the main roof. Here a space for outdoor activities (the walk, classical music concerts, small summer events).
The green live roof turns into “place”: an orderly succession of gardens. The path leads up to the “Belvedere” garden through wooden piers that uphold the relationship between the building and the hill.
